We've already received just over 10% more precipitation than last April, and almost double the GDD than the 10 year average so we will see what the rest of this month brings.

A few of reminders:

*There is a frost warning for the next couple of evenings: 21st and 22nd May. Please plan accordingly, and ensure that your frost protection plan is in place and functioning.

*There will be a Best Practice Session held this SUNDAY at One-Ten Vineyards in Lower Canard. Please contact me or GGANS for the full address if interested to attend.
The session will be held between 10am and 12pm. We will be speaking about shoot thinning, pests, disease management and other topics. Rachel Rix- entomologist with the Kentville Research Centre will also be there. So, bring your questions and let's learn together.

*Lastly, the Ag Tech team and I are planning a drone demonstration event this July. Keep your eyes open for details. This event will include a test flight itself, analysis of the data and a discussion of various uses of drones in vineyards and other commodities. We will be discussing precision agriculture and how it can be used in small and and large production settings.

Thank you all for your time this week, and I look forward to seeing you in the field soon.

Cheers!
Katarina
